Golden Ameda Brooks is an American actress. She began her career with lead roles in the Showtime comedy series, Linc's, and later appeared in the films Timecode and Impostor. From 2000 to 2008, Brooks played Maya Wilkes in the UPN / The CW comedy series, Girlfriends, in which she received two NAACP Image Award nominations for Best Actress in a comedy series. She has also appeared in the films Motives, Beauty Shop, Something New and The Darkest Minds. In 2019, Brooks received critical acclaim for her performance in TNT's limited-time drama I Am the Night.
